The SPEAR Patrol pack is part of the latest USSOCOM pack suite, which includes Assault, Patrol, and Recce packs. All three packs are manufactured by Mystery Ranch and based around a common SPLF frame system. The SPEAR Patrol is the medium-sized pack of the suite, featuring a 5000 cu-in (80L) capacity, compared to the Assault’s 3200 cu-in (53L) and Recce’s 6200 cu-in (102L) capacity.

The SPEAR Patrol has a 5000 cu-in (80L) capacity and weighs 7.4lbs (3.4kg). This is 0.9lbs (0.41kg) lighter than the commercially-available version of the pack, the Blackjack 80.
Details
The SPEAR Patrol includes full-length side zippers to access the main compartment.
The pack includes four external zippered pockets, two lid pockets, and two water bottle pockets.
The frame features removable bolsters and carbon fiber stays.
The three lower external pockets use slim 3/4" binding tape on the seams.
All 3/4" adjustable straps use Duraflex Easy Access SJ Buckles.
The yoke features sizing indicators for ease of adjustment.

Breaking from their traditional use of Duraflex hardware, the hipbelt adjustment buckle is a 1.5" American Cord & Webbing VPR Viper Buckle.
Back of the yoke with pull tab for accessing the yoke framesheet/adjuster.
The yoke framesheet/adjuster is a flat piece of HDPE instead of the rigid, molded thermoplastic framesheet found in most other MR packs.
Quick release buckle on the shoulder strap, with steel ladderlock for redundancy.
The bottom side of the lid includes a stowable E&E strap.

The inside of the pack features a PALS grid on the rear and includes a removable radio pouch.
